14 July 2004: Interoperability Survey Now On-Line

One of the tasks on the managed lanes research project is looking at the interoperability aspects of those facilities. Interoperability is the recognition that the various aspects of a managed lane facility may impact one another or have a relationship with other aspects of neighboring roadways. The research team has put together a web-based survey for the profession, to determine the type, important, and extent of these relationships.

Your participation in this survey will provide valuable input to the research team and help to ensure real-world application of the results. TTI respects your privacy. This survey does not use cookies. No identifying information is collected during the survey or stored with the responses. All correspondence concerning the survey will be kept in complete confidence.

This survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and is located at: http://managed-lanes.tamu.edu/survey/

In addition, we have added a new feature to our Products section. On the main page, all of our products (reports, bulletins, presentation, products) are provided in a quick list by topic. You can access this list at "Our Products."

Finally, look for our interoperability survey which will be available sometime the week of July 12th. The intent of this survey is to solicit information and opinions from the profession on the extent of the various aspects of a managed lanes facility which may impact or have a relationship with other aspects of the facility or neighboring roadways.

7 April 2003:The project team has updated the website and published a considerable number of products on a variety of research tasks and topics. The research report and project bulletin on Traffic Modeling are available, along with two user-friendly brochures addressing the marketing of managed lanes projects to both policy makers and the general public. The related research report on Concept Marketing is posted as well as the research report on Legislation, the summary of the 2002 meeting held with the TxDOT Project Monitoring Committee, and the research report on Enforcement. 20 January 2003: The project team presented a number of papers at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board held in Washington, DC, January 12-16, 2003. 22 October 2002: The project team has published another Project Bulletin to summarize the task on concept marketing.
